Der Branchenverband der deutschen Spieleindustrie, game, hat die offiziellen Verkaufscharts für den Juli 2026 vorgelegt. Dabei sind drei Neueinsteiger zu vermelden – einer davon direkt auf Platz 1. Dabei handelt es sich, ihr habt es anhand des Titelbildes schon erraten, um „Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced“. Einen Platz in den Top 10 sichert sich jedoch auch das von dem Cthulhu-Mythos und H.P. Lovecrafts Werken inspirierte Horror-Spiel „The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu“.
Ein weiterer Neueinsteiger ist das Rollenspiel „Echoes of Aincrad“, das auf dem Manga und Anime „Sword Art Online“ basiert. Spannend ist aber auch, dass es ziemlich viele Rückkehrer in die Top 20 gibt. Beispielsweise wären da „Far Cry 4“, „Dead Island 2“ oder auch „Split Fiction“ zu nennen. Da haben sich wohl einige Sales deutlich ausgewirkt.
Hintergrundinformation: Die game-Charts enthalten plattformübergreifend die am häufigsten im jeweiligen Monat in Deutschland auf Datenträgern und als Download verkauften Spiele für PCs und Spielekonsolen. Die Daten werden erhoben auf Basis von Games Sales Data (GSD), einer Plattform, die von der VGE (Video Games Europe) ins Leben gerufen wurde, um physische und digitale Verkaufszahlen von Videospielen zu messen.
In Deutschland werden neben Verkäufen bei Einzelhändlern auch Verkäufe von digitalen Verkaufsplattformen wie dem Nintendo eShop, PSN, dem Xbox Store oder Steam von Publishern an GSD übermittelt. Digitale Verkäufe von First-Party-Nintendo-Titeln aus dem Nintendo eShop sind jedoch nicht enthalten.
