Roblox, Fortnite, and a number of the world's other biggest games have gone offline as a huge outage affects the internet this morning.

The outage seems to be rooted in problems with Amazon's ubiquitous AWS hosting service, which appears to be down. The Fortnite outage was confirmed on X, and Roblox's Status website lists an active incident knocking the game out.

Other prominent games affected include Clash Royale and Clash of Clans, and Palworld. Football game Rematch is suffering from the outage and also points towards AWS. Nintendo's Switch services also seem to be struggling, and Nintendo has confirmed there's an ongoing issue affecting it.

I expect many more games and services will be suffering issues, too.

The Amazon Web Services status website confirms the disruption and operational issue to mulitple services it provides, and pinpoints it to an issue in North Virginia.

This is a breaking story. More to follow.
